Retrieval quality
Does SIRA return the right institutional record for the user’s exact request, role and access boundary?
Product notes & research
A transparent record of the problems, decisions, tests and lessons behind GLL products. SIRA is Product 01 and the first research record in this library.
Why we started with SIRA
Across primary, secondary and tertiary institutions, important work is often divided between paper files, folders, messages, spreadsheets, calendars and individual memory. Staff spend time finding information, repeating updates and coordinating work instead of acting on it. Generic AI can sound confident without understanding institutional permissions, responsibilities or approved records. SIRA began as GLL’s response to that gap.
Product summary
SIRA connects documents, tasks, schedules, communication, approvals and AI assistance around the role of the person using it. It is designed to retrieve permitted institutional information, keep sources visible and leave sensitive decisions with the appropriate human user.
What we are testing
Does SIRA return the right institutional record for the user’s exact request, role and access boundary?
Does the connected workspace reduce time spent searching, repeating work and following up?
Can staff across primary, secondary and tertiary institutions understand the interface without specialist training?
Are sources, permissions, approvals and device access clear enough for users to remain in control?
Current status
We are preparing SIRA for testing with selected schools. The pilot will be used to collect structured feedback, measure usefulness and identify failures before making broader claims. We will update these notes as evidence becomes available.
When GLL publishes open-source work, verified repository links, documentation and contribution information will appear on this page. No public repository has been announced yet.
